The Top of the Rock experience includes several levels and viewing areas that showcase New York City from different perspectives. As you make your way up Rockefeller Center, you’ll pass through galleries and observation spaces designed to highlight the skyline, architecture, and history of this iconic Midtown landmark.
Welcome Gallery & Exhibits: Your visit begins with the Welcome Gallery, where displays introduce the history of Rockefeller Center and the development of its famous observation deck. Historic photographs and exhibits reveal how the complex became one of New York’s most recognizable landmarks.
The Weather Room: Located on the indoor observation level, The Weather Room Café & Bar offers a relaxed space with large windows overlooking Manhattan. Visitors can enjoy refreshments while taking in views of the city from a comfortable indoor setting.
Top of the Rock Observation Decks
Top of the Rock features three observation deck levels, each offering a slightly different perspective of the skyline.
67th Floor – Indoor and Outdoor Viewing Areas: The first observation level includes indoor viewing spaces and outdoor terraces where visitors can start enjoying panoramic views of Midtown Manhattan.
69th Floor – Outdoor Observation Deck: This level provides open-air terraces that allow visitors to walk around the building and view the skyline from multiple angles.
70th Floor – Open-Air Top Deck: The highest level offers an unobstructed outdoor viewing platform with sweeping 360-degree views of Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the Manhattan skyline.
