Co warto zobaczyć w środku

Inside Doge’s Palace, visitors move through a sequence of grand halls, council chambers, and historic passageways that reveal how the Venetian Republic governed itself for centuries.

The Great Council Hall stands out for its vast scale and rich decoration, featuring monumental paintings that celebrate Venice’s political history, including Tintoretto’s enormous Paradise. Nearby, the Senate and Council chambers show how power was exercised, with richly carved ceilings and symbolic artwork.

The Doge’s Apartments offer insight into the public and private roles of Venice’s ruler, combining formal reception rooms with more intimate spaces. From here, visitors cross the Bridge of Sighs, the enclosed passageway linking the palace to the prisons, where prisoners took their final look at Venice. The prison cells below provide a stark contrast to the palace’s grandeur and complete the story of justice in the Venetian Republic.

Throughout the visit, courtyards, staircases, and sculpted details add depth, revealing both the splendor and the structure of one of Europe’s most influential states.

Wide range of Doges Palace rooms included and accessible for visitors. Other museum included in ticket. Things to improve - my from google map official link bought ticket initially went lomg way to get physically - standed in West row for previous bookings and after that - not fast way while that nice ticket officer lady found that booking. Route through Museum was well coordinated by signs but still somehow I didn't manage to remember visiting some parts (maybe they were there, I just couldn't recall) - so after some hours was ready to go second round but thats not how ticket works. Only one time. A bit hard to find other half of hallways ir Corr.. museum too, but after returning and trying from beginning - made it. Thank You!
