Commissioned by King Louis XV, the Panthéon in Paris was originally intended to be a church dedicated to St. Genevieve. Construction began in 1758, but the building's purpose was altered during the French Revolution. • From 1 April to 30 September, opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• From 1 October to 31 March, opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

 Last entry is always 45 minutes before closing.

Early Closures: 

• On the first working Monday of each month, the Panthéon opens at 12:00 PM. 
• On December 24 and December 31, it closes early at 5:00 PM, with last entry at 4:15 PM. 

Closing Days: The Panthéon is closed annually on January 1, May 1, and December 25.

• Dome access is seasonal and physical: The dome is usually open from April to October, but reaching it requires climbing 206 steps and is not wheelchair accessible.
• The crypt is a core part of the visit: Interactive touchscreens in English provide detailed background on the figures buried there, and many visitors underestimate the time needed to explore it properly.
• Accessibility is partial: Step-free access is available via an exterior ramp, and an interior lift provides access to the main nave, but not to all areas.
