The Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace
O Royal Mews é um dos melhores estábulos em funcionamento do mundo e abriga a coleção real de carruagens históricas, além dos Windsor Greys e Cleveland Bays, os cavalos que puxam as carruagens. Até hoje, os estábulos ainda são responsáveis por todos os preparativos de viagem para Sua Majestade o Rei e outros membros da Família Real.
O Royal Mews tem sido o local do transporte rodoviário do soberano desde 1760, quando George III transferiu sua coleção de carruagens para mais perto de sua nova casa no Palácio de Buckingham. Desde então, ele foi atualizado por vários monarcas, de acordo com suas necessidades de transporte em constante mudança.
Entre as carruagens históricas em exposição estão a espetacular Diamond Jubilee State Coach e a Australian State Coach, que foi dada à Rainha Elizabeth II como um presente do povo australiano e inclui até mesmo aquecimento central!
