Child policy: - Children under 6 years are free of charge, but are not entitled to a seat. - Each paying adult may bring up to two children who are eligible for free admission. A ticket is required for additional children. Good to know: - Pass valid for international travelers only. - Travelers may use the automatic ticket gates, manual ticketing will not be required. - All participants must present their passports (original copy) for ticket redemption, and the representative’s name for group bookings must match the name entered during the booking process. If the names do not match, the pass cannot be redeemed. - Sapporo-Furano Area Pass can be exchanged or purchased only at New Chitose Airport, Sapporo and Asahikawa Stations. Additionally, the pass cannot be used for JR Hokkaido Bus, streetcar, and Sapporo subway. - When using a reserved seat on the train, please make sure to exchange for the reserved seat ticket at the station window or ticket vending machine before boarding, after redeeming your pass. (Due to limited seat availability on certain trains or routes, there may be cases where even if there are empty seats, reserved seats cannot be guaranteed.) Additionally, free seating is only available for bus rides. This Sapporo-Furana Area Pass can be used on: - JR Hokkaido trains, excluding Hokkaido Shinkansen, in Sapporo-Furano area. - Reserved seats and non-reserved in the ordinary car of limited express trains on JR Hokkaido Line in the Sapporo-Furano area. Non-reserved seats are not available for Ltd. Exp. Hokuto, Ltd. Exp. Suzuran, Ltd. Exp. Ozura, and Ltd. Exp. Tokachi. It is recommended to get a reserved ticket beforehand, as seat reservations cannot be made on the train. - Reserved and non-reserved seats of temporary trains (limited express/local) on JR Hokkaido Line in the Sapporo-Furano area.
