MOTIONGATE Dubai opened its doors in December 2016 as a key component of Dubai Parks and Resorts, a sprawling entertainment complex envisioned to become the Middle East's largest integrated theme park destination. The concept behind MOTIONGATE Dubai was to create a unique theme park that celebrated Hollywood cinema, bringing iconic films and characters from three major studios—DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures, and Lionsgate—to life. This ambitious project aimed to establish Dubai as a global entertainment hub, offering world-class attractions to both residents and international tourists. From its inception, MOTIONGATE Dubai was designed to be an immersive experience, featuring state-of-the-art rides, elaborate shows, and highly themed environments. Its development marked a significant milestone in the region's leisure and tourism sector, contributing to Dubai's growing reputation as a premier destination for family entertainment and thrilling adventures inspired by the magic of movies.

MOTIONGATE Dubai typically welcomes guests daily, though specific opening and closing times can vary throughout the year. It is common for theme parks in the region to adjust hours based on seasons, public holidays, and special events. Morning hours are usually when the park opens, and it remains open until late evening. For the most up-to-date schedule, visitors are encouraged to check for current operating hours prior to their visit to plan their day effectively.

The optimal time to visit MOTIONGATE Dubai is during Dubai's cooler months, from October to April, when the outdoor climate is more comfortable. Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends and public holidays, allowing for shorter wait times for popular rides and attractions. Arriving shortly after the park opens is also recommended to maximize your time and enjoy key attractions before the midday rush. Visiting during off-peak seasons can further enhance the experience with fewer guests, making it easier to navigate the park and enjoy all it has to offer.

Inside MOTIONGATE Dubai, guests are greeted by five distinct themed zones, each offering a unique set of attractions. Hollywood Zone serves as the entry point, setting the stage for cinematic adventures. Studio Central showcases the golden age of Hollywood filmmaking. Columbia Pictures Zone features adrenaline-pumping rides like 'Ghostbusters: Battle for New York' and 'Underworld 4D'. Lionsgate Zone immerses visitors in the world of 'The Hunger Games' with thrilling roller coasters and a 4D motion simulator. DreamWorks Zone brings beloved animated characters to life with indoor, air-conditioned attractions based on 'Shrek', 'Kung Fu Panda', and 'Madagascar'. The Smurfs Village Zone offers charming rides and play areas perfect for younger visitors. Throughout the park, live shows, street performances, and character appearances add to the vibrant atmosphere.
